Waking up with the sun (which is pretty early at this time of the year) and reading in bed when around 05:40 a sound intrudes, a roar of engines, what the heck was that?! Up and to the main balcony looking south across Boughton Bay is a stream of lobster boats coming out of Launching Harbour, Annandale Harbour, Fortune Harbour, and Souris all visible from Spry Point. So many boats laden with lobster traps, the race was on to set the traps for the first day of the lobster season, very cool! Photos are great, but there is no substitute for the actual experience, sorry you all were not here to enjoy the first day of the lobster season.
